Always

from $110.00

I've always been drawn to sempervivums — hen and chicks, houseleek, liveforever, whatever you want to call them. The way the leaves arrange themselves in a perfect Fibonacci spiral, each one overlapping the last at exactly the same angle. If you grow them, you already know. You've probably crouched down in the garden and just looked, the way I did before I made this. The outer leaves go bronze and copper as they age, but the heart stays green, still becoming. That's what I wanted to hold onto — the way something so still can feel so alive.
