Roosters are the ultimate guardians. They act as sentinels, constantly scanning their surroundings. They’ll spot a hawk before anyone else and sound the alarm with a specific call that tells the hens to take cover.

They are courageous to the core. Even small roosters will charge predators many times their size — including foxes, raccoons, and dogs — to defend their flock.

A good rooster doesn’t just protect; he guides. He’ll lead hens to food, find them shady spots on hot days, and stand guard while they eat.

  • All prints are individually produced to order by a master printer under my supervision using Epson archival pigment inks on museum-grade 300 gsm fine art paper by Hahnemuhle for exceptional longevity and richness.

    The size indicated is the image dimensions. They are printed with an additional 1” border all around. So, for example, a 12” x 18” print will be on 14” x 20” paper.

    All prints are sold unframed. They are hand-signed, numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
