These two cows stayed close the entire time I was there. Cows are very social animals, and have friends that they rely on, feel safe with, just like we do. Standing together seemed to make everything feel steadier.

Being near them felt calming in a way that’s hard to explain. Photographing this didn’t feel like doing much at all—it felt more like standing quietly and paying attention.

  • All prints are individually produced to order by a master printer under my supervision using Epson archival pigment inks on museum-grade 300 gsm fine art paper by Hahnemuhle for exceptional longevity and richness.

    The size indicated is the image dimensions. They are printed with an additional 1” border all around. So, for example, a 12” x 18” print will be on 14” x 20” paper.

    All prints are sold unframed. They are hand-signed, numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
