What Are You Looking At?

from $110.00

Standing with these two cows, I was struck by how deliberately they positioned themselves together. Cows are deeply social animals, forming lasting bonds and responding strongly to companionship and separation. Their closeness felt protective, as though they were drawing reassurance from one another while acknowledging my presence.

Their gaze is steady, not confrontational but curious. Photographing them reminded me how often we misread quiet animals as passive, when in fact they are constantly assessing, feeling, and responding. There is a shared strength here, rooted in relationship.
